The Chisholm Trail Museum, located directly on the trade route that evolved into the famous cattle trail. Exhibits & displays feature a timeline of history, beginning with Jesse Chisholm, the Chisholm Trail, to Native American & Pioneer artifacts, history of the pioneers that settled the area during the 1889 & 1892 land runs. The Frontier village steps you back in time, with church from 1890, bank from 1889, one-room school house & two log cabins (one belonging to the mother of the Dalton Gang) are located on-site. Governor Abraham Seay's Victorian shingle style mansion, with period décor, is located across the street from the museum. Days/Hours: Closed Mondays & legal holidays. Open Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 5pm; Sunday 1pm - 5pm.
