In addition to lavender products such as spa wraps, neck wraps, lavender wands, sachets and more, Country Cottage, near Shawnee, is a great place to find country, primitives decor. Plan a trip this month to update your fall decor and gather a few early Christmas presents.
At the cottage, you can find wreaths, hand-made by owner Debi Seaton as well as primitive-style furniture made by her husband, Lucky. This shop has a lot of charm and offers candles, wall hangings, flower arrangements, linens, T-shirts and more.

This only happens about once a year, although classes can be booked year-round, they are normally booked for groups of 10 or more people. Don’t miss this great opportunity to enjoy a workshop where you will sample lavender cookies and lemonade, learn all about lavender, and get to make a take-home lavender craft.

Make your way to the historic Pawnee Bill Ranch in Pawnee, showplace of the world-renowned Wild West Show entertainer Gordon W. “Pawnee Bill” Lillie, for an authentic recreation of Pawnee Bill’s original Wild West Show. Transport yourself back in time to the Old West and witness trick roping, trick shooting, trick riding, cowboy songs and more. These shows, June 23 and 30, 2012, are based on stunts from the original Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show that toured the country and amazed spectators over 90 years ago.
Enjoy the fragrance and gardens at Lavender Valley Acres’ 8th Annual Lavender Festival, June 23 from 9 am to 5 pm. Lavender Valley Acres is a specialty crop farm near Apache. There will be lavender items, live plants, as well as entertainment. This is a don’t miss lavender fix!!
